I'm too busy writing a statement of intent as quickly as possible (I know, I know) to write anything more interesting today. Just for the hell of it, here's a survey I filled out:
1. WERE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE? Not that I know of, for my first name. My middle names are the names of my grandmothers.
2. WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED? The night before last.
3. DO YOU LIKE YOUR HANDWRITING? Sometimes, yes. As illegible as it can be. Sometimes, yes.
4. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LUNCH MEAT? I try to avoid it all as much as possible (I used to work in a deli, and it's just ... *shudder* gross) but I still indulge in the processed meat/cartilage loaves now and then. Otherwise, I like a really good prosciutto.
5. DO YOU HAVE KIDS? Nuh uh.
6. IF YOU WERE ANOTHER PERSON, WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU? Honestly? No. I've been aware of this for a while, and I'm trying to fix it. Right now, though - no.
7. DO YOU USE SARCASM? It's one of my best weapons.
8. DO YOU STILL HAVE YOUR TONSILS? Yerp.
9. WOULD YOU BUNGEE JUMP? Absolutely, positively and mark my words I WILL some day.
10. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE CEREAL? Currently these organic low sugar shredded oat things that I eat with plain yoghurt. Milk on cereal? That's for saps. If you don't believe me, you haven't tried yoghurt on your cereal yet.
11. DO YOU UNTIE YOUR SHOES WHEN YOU TAKE THEM OFF? I try to avoid untying my shoes/boots at all costs. I will fight and squeeze and yank as much I can before stooping to untie them. I understand that this isn't logical, but c'mon - untying?
13. WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ICE CREAM? I don't like ice cream all that much, on account of it puts me in extreme pain whenever I eat it. For the annual PC brand Candy Cane Fudge Ripple or Ben & Jerry's Peanut Butter cups ice creams though, I forgo the pain.
14. WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE? I really ... don't know. Could I just write 'overall appearance'? Does that count?
I don't know the FIRST thing I notice about people but I know that I make snap judgments about people from a few things: 1. their hands, 2. their teeth, 3. their grammar and how they speak to me.
Yes, I will judge you on your grammar, and I know when you don't floss.

16. WHAT IS YOUR LEAST FAVORITE THING ABOUT YOURSELF? I would like to be above 5ft tall. That would be really, really nice.

19. WHAT COLOR PANTS AND SHOES ARE YOU WEARING? Brown tweed dress pants (work pants), slippers. Yes, that's right. Slippers.
21. WHAT ARE YOU LISTENING TO RIGHT NOW? 'Holmes on Holmes' happens to be on the television. Hey! Did I ever tell you about the time I kind of sort of met that guy?
22. IF YOU WERE A CRAYON, WHAT COLOR WOULD YOU BE? I really liked the red or the darkish turquoise growing up, oh and the purple, and ... can I just be the whole box?
23. FAVORITE SMELLS? Baking smells - cinnamon and vanilla but only when it's actually baking smells (not simulated). Onions and/or garlic cooking. The smell of my Mom's spaghetti cooking. Also, gasoline.
24. WHO WAS THE LAST PERSON YOU TALKED TO ON THE PHONE? I answer the phone for a living. Yes, you read that right. Yes, I have an MA, but it's in English Literature and there's a recession and ...
The last person I talked to I believe was looking for emergency food assistance, or needed to be transferred to someone's voice mail.
26. FAVORITE SPORTS TO WATCH? I don't watch sports on television all that often. I'd rather go to see a game in person or play.
27. HAIR COLOR? I'm not really sure. It just sort of is what it is - light brown/dirty blonde/something? I have what the last lady who cut my hair calls 'virgin hair' but what I prefer to call it is 'too lazy to do anything with it' hair. It just grows out of my head.

44. WHAT IS THE FARTHEST YOU HAVE BEEN FROM HOME? Virginia.
45. DO YOU HAVE A SPECIAL TALENT? I can wiggle my nose like a bunny. I can fit my fist in my mouth. I can also paint, draw, and sculpt quite well.
